9 May 2018 Gunnedah’s Waste Water Management Facility has undergone an $8.1 million major remodel to future-proof Gunnedah’s sewerage treatment works until 2038. Council’s Open Space Strategy has identified Athol Gallen Park, off Walter Rodd Street, as a suitable location due to its size and accessibility.
