Council announces Round Two (2018/19) Business Partner Program recipients

The local economy has once again received a boost thanks to Gunnedah Shire Council’s Business Partner Program. Five local businesses have received a slice of funding from Round Two (2018/2019) of the program.

Representatives from each business were invited to a ceremony at Council Chambers on Tuesday afternoon to accept the funding.

Successful recipients in Round Two include:

  • Annie’s Kitchen
  • Ameloriate Yoga, for expansion and marketing of yoga and dietetics small business
  • Goodness and Gracious, for Little Galahs
  • Sunburnt Treasures, for strengthening women
  • Cobb’s Exhaust 4x4 Centre, for rebranding and renovations

Gunnedah Shire Mayor Jamie Chaffey said Council continues to commit to supporting local businesses, aiming to help stimulate innovation, economic growth, development, employment and investment.

“Gunnedah Shire continues to be an area of strong regional growth and it’s important for Council to acknowledge the benefits new industry or business growth can have on our community,” Cr Chaffey said.

“I congratulate the successful recipients on showing initiative and for contributing to our vibrant, diverse business community.”

Round Three of the Business Partner Program is now open, with applications closing at 5.00pm on Thursday, 28 February.
